ANOTHER GREAT DAY FOR OUR 5TH CHARITY BALLOON WALK AT
LAKE VYRNWY ON SATURDAY 2ND JUNE
Although the morning was overcast and misty it did not
stop all our wonderful walkers from having a great time.
Before the walk commenced we were pleased to announce to
everyone a further £25000.00 donation to
the Cancer Sciences Dept, University of Birmingham.
Dr Andrew Peet explains that this donation
will be used to build on work previously funded by
The Andrew McCartney Trust Fund
looking at the significance of fats in Brain Tumour cells.
52 walkers and a record 6 dogs completed this years walk.
The bucket collections around the route raised a fantasic £200.00
a big thank you to everyone who volunteered to carry a bucket.
This years winner of the super Lake Vyrnwy canvas is
Rowan Watson who was over the moon on hearing he had won.

of their classroom & Kitchen facilities.

and there are no charges for parking at Lake Vyrnwy
Our finish line is at the base marquee positioned at the rear of
Severn Trent Water offices where as usual we shall have complimentary
Tea, Coffee & Light refreshments available for all Walkers & Supporters.
After the event as a thankyou to every walker
we shall again have a prize draw with one lucky walker
taking home this Superb 30"x 20" Canvas Print .
